Select 11302A and ignore the error message and it will work.

TekCATS
Hi, it's me again... :)
I was going to go on with the 11302 checking and tried to connect to TekCATS 2.19, but in the meantime I had updated the firmware to the 3.1 version and TekCATS refuses to

Re: Tektronix 145 PAL test signal generator - repair (oven control circuit and maybe more)
The capacitors are fine... I did change the ones on the PSU board, but left the large cans be.
However, there was an open diode in the bridge rectifier circuit which was the cause of the ripple on

2465A Screen Issue
Hi all,
So last year my venerable old 2465A developed a weird intermittent fault. After some time - arbitrary and not temperature related - this fault would arise whereby the screen would become

Re: A bewitched voltage divider?
Hi Friends,
as planned, I went today to Andrea and checked his beautiful 11302A, using the same VOM and HV probe. Well: all its values are exactly like mine. Only the ripple seems to be a little

Re: Tektronix 145 PAL test signal generator - repair (oven control circuit and maybe more)
Hi all
I have dialed in the voltages, which brought back most of the logic that generates the patterns, but there is still something wrong with the heater circuit.
It generates a picture now, though

Hello John,
wow - thank you for the quick reply!
I'll try it out later and report back!
It's really strange that there isn't much information about this online...

HP54502A Oscilloscope fail A/D test and cal
Hi.
I have a HP54502A in fairly good condition I want to fix for my workbench. It fails on A/D test (pass D/A and rest) on CHANNEL 2 only. I have no schematics, just the SM, and if anyone knows of

Re: Tektronix 2246 - Text Readout Broken
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your advice. I tried reseating the ribbon cables and the text came back, but was now wobbling. The only adjustments I remember significantly changing were C114/C124 (CH1/2 input

Perhaps not very helpful on the topic but nevertheless: you should avoid putting all your private pics on the web!
It might even be dangerous for us as there is no guarantee the files do not contain

Re: 2465A start-up problem
It's not really clear which LED's are lit as lots of them light up, before all switching off.
Wondering which tests can be done by a process of elimination in order to rule out the faults?

Eric,
From some notes I took long ago.

This tells you which POST is failing, which may help pick a direction for

Re: Tektronix 2246 - Text Readout Broken
Aneesh,
I suspect you pulled a connector or more loose by removing the case. Check and reseat connectors. This can easily happen removing the case and/or doing any checking without you noticing. A

Re: Tek 2235 Q944 Equivalent-squished horizontal
Eng,
Q944 is a 2N3565 (151-0432-00), 610-2N3565 Mouser part number. The zener can be replaced with a 78-BZX85B6V2 (Mouser part number).

Re: A bewitched voltage divider?
Looking at 330 ohm axial lead resistors on Mouser, no 10% parts, only 5% or better. Quantity 1, 1 and 5% parts both $0.10.
At my previous employer,? we only used 1%'s everywhere. Any small
