Re: WTB in NorthWest UK
Hello Nick,
I have at least the following :
- Phase gate Assy : PN 119-1010-02
- Power supply with GPIB : PN 337-2553-04
These parts were OK when saved as parts some years ago

Yes, if available and that kind of accuracy is required.

Re: Need/want a bench top DC power supply.
If one is going to insert a diode, one would probably be best using a supply with remote voltage sensing.

Re: 067-0525-01 or equivalent needed.
Adding some information to this discussion: The Tektronix part number for the BNC Tee is 131-0416-00. This is the Tee that Tek used in their cables; the ones that I have are in Amphenol packaging

WTB in NorthWest UK
Apologies if this is in the wrong place, direct me and I'll move it.
I'm rebuilding a 492BP using parts from multiple other units and currently short of some vital bits.
I need a preselector and

WTB (want to buy) Tek 422 cover
I really just need the two draw catches. No luck finding something modern, all are too long. It's for a cherry 422 that I got 45 years ago.

Re: 212 #2 Parts scope or fix?
L257 is not critical, you can get a higher value if you want - not lower. Make sure the current is equal or higher than original.
CR261-268 can be replaced with 1N4937. These are 600V 1A very fast

In that case, they would have used a capital U as the closest match to a mu. That's the sort of thing that was common in the ASCII monofont days of yore.

Re: Tektronix TDS744A CRT caps parts numbers
If the capacitors in my list have no ESR/Ripple current ratings specified, you can use any general purpose capacitor. You can use capacitors without ESR rating as you mention without a problem.

Re: 7704A - MOD3089
That very interesting. Mine's a B190000+ so that explains why I have the 1.8k. I still like the shorter characters and will likely either replace it with a 953-ohm or leave the 2k parallel

Re: The Power Supply Board
In the olden days, M often stood for milli for inductors, but meg for resistors, and micro for capacitors (so that MMF would mean a picofarad --? a "mickey-mike"). Not confusing at all! ;) So, you

Re: 212 #2 Parts scope or fix?
The Tek 212 service manual is capitals only in the parts lists. I assumed that MH meant micro Henries in this case.

Re: The Power Supply Board
Sorry, I assumed that MH in the caps only world of the 212 Tek service manual was micro Henry, not milli Henry.

Re: 212 #2 Parts scope or fix?
Hi
You're still confusing milli and micro. You'll want to straighten that out sooner than later.
1.8 MH is 1.8mH is 1.8 millihenries

Re: 7704A - MOD3089
There was a mod on Beaverton built 7704A's which changed R3468 from
953ohm to 1.8kom. This is opposite to the Guernsey change. So either the
Guernsey mod sheet is wrong or for some reason they changed

Re: The Power Supply Board
That looks like a simple 2-sided board. Should be easy enough to verify.
As for replacing a 2.2mH inductor with 2.2uH inductor, no, don't do that.
