I just checked one of mine, it reads normally (IDENTIFY) on my 7904. Harvey

Re: 7D15 Character Display
That looks like a malfunction, since the circuits normally are perfectly able to generate a nice "T". Raymond

Re: 067-0502-01 CALIBRATION FIXTURE
Dissipation factor is defined as Rs/X. Since X is 1/(2*pi*f*C), D is proportional to f if Rs is constant. I think Raymond is defining "dispersion" as the first derivative of D with respect to f.

Re: 067-0502-01 CALIBRATION FIXTURE
The caps are mostly in parallel with the attenuator output capacitance, together with the FET's input capacitance and of course PCB (layout) properties. Therefore, if you change their value,

2465B NVRAM type?
Bonjour, still working on 2465B with many defects, and all options. CTT, GPIB, WR. A5 has had SMD lytics replaced, no corrosion damages, socketed the NVRAM. Looking on the distr, the original

Re: 7D15 Character Display
I see the same effect with my 7D15 in my 7904A. It's to do with the character generator in the 7904A. It can only generate a certain (small) number of points per character, and drawing an '8' smoothly

7D15 Character Display
I have a 7D15 mounted in my 7904A and have noticed that the numeral "8" appears to be displayed in a strange way (to my view anyway). Whereas all other numerals are displayed in a nicely rounded

Re: Tek 577 restoration -- help needed
Hi Zen, Thank you for your reply. I could find the white/green wire on the 577. My question was where this point is shown in the schematics. I guess it should be S120A , but I am not familiar with the

Re: 067-0502-01 CALIBRATION FIXTURE
I was referring to C18 (Ch1) and C68 (Ch2) at the gates of Q20A and Q70A, through resistors R18 and R68, respectively. These immediately follow the input attenuators, on the vertical input boards.

Re: Repairing damaged cams
The original cam material provides low friction against the switch levers. Maybe a small, partial (graft) transplant from another cam switch model is feasible: many Tek modules contain these switches.

Thanks Raymond, I assembled 2x 2.4M resistors from 2.2M and 220K 1W metal film resistors and it¡¯s almost perfect at 0.996875KHz. Yes, I agree, the multiturn pots would be overkill. The purpose of
