Re: New cable for Tek P6042 current probe?
Hi Staffan, Search through our archives for "P6042". It has been a popular subject from time to time. On at least one occasion I remember someone suggesting an HDMI cable might work. Dennis Tillman

Re: Mystery Probe Accessory Grab Bag 'o Fun
Hi Raymond and Jeff, Raymond you are right. I magnified the picture and then the screw thread is clearly visible. The 131-5336-01 Part didn't have a screw thread. By the way my late P6201 (B082552)

Re: Mystery Probe Accessory Grab Bag 'o Fun
A is a short-path-to-ground accessory for the P6201, definitely not for the P6008. B is a standard short-ground-connection clip, usable for almost all 6mm probes. D is a replacement spring-loaded pin,

Re: Mystery Probe Accessory Grab Bag 'o Fun
I'm pretty sure F is a 206-0200-00, a replaceable probe tip for the P6201. Raymond

Re: [dead tek 485] Can i fix it ? (newbie here)
Ok. Don't know if I'm correctly visualizing the traces... (dumb newbie here). I've done X-Y and normal Grounded (no input) on one channel measurements with the two oscilloscopes I own. X/Y mode just

Mine actually get sent all over the place to several different folders with gmail, very annoying.

Hi Jeff, F is the Test/Signal/Ground Pin: 131-5336-01. To be used with the PQFP100 and PQFP132 Converter Clips. See pdf page 441 of the 1993 Product Catalog. Greetings, Egge Siert

Re: Mystery Probe Accessory Grab Bag 'o Fun
Is it possible that the parts 'C' will go over the barrel of something like a P6008, without its 'hat', and touch the ground contact that can be seen through one of the slots in the barrel? Tim

Re: Mystery Probe Accessory Grab Bag 'o Fun
There are some excellent diagrams on pages 330-333 of the 1991 Tek catalog showing which probe accessories go with which probes for all the standard probes that were current at the

Re: Mystery Probe Accessory Grab Bag 'o Fun
After trolling through the probe entries, and scanning each manual, on TekWiki, I have some tentative identifications: <A> and <D> seem to be for the P6008/6009, as are some other parts (hook tips,

Re: 2236 Manuals
Don't forget the development time, and R&D experience. Marketing drives product development, and is a best guess at the time of project kick-off. Markets shift (and boy didn't they in the 80s!) and

Re: A problem filled FG507
Yes that is absolutely the "right" procedure, but for a 2MHz instrument it is overkill. Deoxit works very well and does not appear to leave a residue of any significance here. I've used it for dozens

Re: Mystery Probe Accessory Grab Bag 'o Fun
"L" would fit P6246 like Tek differential probes although this could be an aftermarket set since I haven't seen this set with the differential probes I
