Re: 2236 Manuals
Siggi,
Yes, if you skip ahead a few years you start getting the options on the 2445/2465 to do all kinds of neat things (multimeter, counter/timer, word recognizer, and TV features) but I was

A problem filled FG507
I am working on 2 Tektronix function generators. An FG 507 and a FG 502 both 2 Mhz. The 507 is on the bench currently and I am having a weird issue with the frequency selectors. Everything above 100X

Well, the CT option for the 2445/2465/2467+ gives you a proper counter.
This is in addition to cursor measurements that come with the basic scope.

Re: 2236 Manuals
Hey Siggi!
That was my point. I don't need or want to be a computer
programmer to see a measurement value. The 2236
does things right there and no settings need to be
changed. As I also

Re: 2235 Horizontal Calibration Issue
What were the voltages at pin 15 and pin 4?
These voltages are so off (except pin 5!) my concern is either you are not looking at the right nodes or the voltmeter was in a different mode. Pin 1

I'm using the PDFs from the Tek Wiki for now. Prefer hard copy.
I went though all of the PDFs for the 2236 on Tek Wiki yesterday to find the right one to recommend to the eBay seller for printing. He

Re: [dead tek 485] Can i fix it ? (newbie here)
Jose,
Those traces look exactly as you would expect for a normal sweep (except for the dotted line during the retrace). Are you sure the 485 is in X-Y mode with Ch1 and Ch2 inputs disconnected?

Re: Elastomer Switch / HYPCON Contact Cleaning 067-0587-02 Standardizer
I've cleaned and adjusted these - and they are a pain. To clean the pads on the PCB, you'll need to remove the switch assembly (follow instructions carefully), and use pure isopropyl alcohol for

It is standard practice to reset the power cycle counter,

The purpose of the counter is to give the calibration

I had a 2445. As far as I was concerned, it was clumsy
for what I do. I service antique radios and comm gear.
You have to play games with the 2445 to get an actual
