Re: Spectrum analyzer Tektronix 7L13 on mainframe Tektronix 7603
Hi Attilio, The 52.5 MHz crystal in the TR502 is Tek p/n 158-0098-00. According to the Common Design Parts Catalog, this is a +/- 0.0005%, 3rd overtone series crystal in a TO-5 case, with a maximum

Brenda, He did not state the PCB house in the original post. Must be in the video and I do not have the ability to watch the video at the moment. Thanks for supplying that information. -- Michael

No, "Audio Dumfuks" is more accurate. I'm seldom one to directly contradict but occasionally needs must. Follow -this- thru to see what some pikers get for USED tubes, no guarantee, no returns.

Hi Jared, very impressive! Almost makes me thinking getting some of the TM500 series! Michael, Jared stated that PCBWay did the boards and I am very impressed with the boards. Has me wondering if I

Re: Tek 2465b two probes showing slightly different voltages and phases
Enjoy that scope, Mark -- it's an amazing instrument. Consider that it is so capable that the finite speed of light was the root cause of your delay problem! Nice to own a scope where you start

I wanted to thank all of you for your helpful suggestions. It has been years since I last posted anything and I really appreciated how much everybody was willing to share their knowledge. Best

Jean-Paul, I think you may have missed several posts. His problem has already been diagnosed -- he has been using two completely different models of probes, of grossly different lengths, and of

Re: Tek 2465b two probes showing slightly different voltages and phases
Its possible to have a precise propagation delay compensation in 2465B. I recall it is in one of the test or options accessed in the CAL menu. For the test of channel match, use a single 50 ohm ext

I built a TM500 mainframe tester, and updated the design. Someone might find this useful?
Hi all, I have been accumulating TM500 modules and mainframes for a little while, so I recently finished building an 067-1201-99 TM500 mainframe tester from the Tek construction notes floating around.

Re: Rescuing 500s from tube snatchers/scavengers - how much is it worth
That was done because people were selling things for $1 and $75 shipping to get around the FVF. While it's not much, I object to them charging tax then getting their FVF off of the price with the tax

Re: Tek 2465b two probes showing slightly different voltages and phases
Jon, Good suggestion... two 50ohm cables, same nominal length, split at the oscillator and fed into channels 1 and 2 gave the exact same voltage and phase. Even at 10x mag they overlaid each other. So

Simon: With perhaps 100 TM500 modules and 2 PG506, I have NEVER had a bad PSU lytic in a plugin. The scope and mainframe TM500/5000 PSU caps DO age, Symptom of bad caps, high PSU ripple, low votage on

Hello Morris, You are right when you say the S plugin was not common. I'm sure very few exist today. The tube circuitry you describe sounds like it is working fine. This plugin was an interesting mix

Wanted: TDS3000 hub assy. for handle
One of the handle hubs is broken in my TDS3014B (up-hacked of course) and it just doesn't glue happily. Does anyone have a spare? This is item 6 in the explosion drawing on page 10-13 of the TDS3000B
