I use one of these and love it for close work: Carson Optical Pro Series MagniVisor Deluxe Head-Worn LED Lighted Magnifier with 4 Different Lenses (1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x)

Re: Tektronix 2467B good buy?
Just a quick word of caution. The A5 board is a multi-layer board and there are interlayer conductors to the pins of the NVRAM. You really want to use good desoldering equipment and techniques when

Re: Tektronix 2467B good buy?
What do you like most in you 2468B (vs 9374L)? I am interesting because i use (and have) many analog and digital oscilloscopes, and 9354L was the fist DSO i liked, mostly because great

Re: 2445A calibration
Hi, Also have anyone transferred the 2445B NVRAM content into the 2445A SRAM? There is a 2445B NVRAM file kindly uploaded by Mitchell Kobierowski in this forum. Technically it's possible to upload

Re: 2445A calibration
Hello, I'm still struggling with 2445A calibration. Good news - I have completely repaired and calibrated TG501. Bad news - I don't have neither the tunnel diode pulser nor the PG506 and I don't

Re: Good loupes
I have a couple pair of the cheap loupes. The 3.5X are pretty handy for general work and I use them quite a bit. I also have a higher power set but those are not very good since they shake with my

Re: Free to a good home
Robin, This may sound gross but I have a near mint 7704A that I bought for less than the value of the 7T11 sampling timebase that came with it. Since it is the only one of my 7000 frames that splits

Re: Restoring a 468
IIRC the 468 ROM's came in three revisions, -00, -01 & -02, where -00 and -01 were Mostek. The -02 had the same digital content as the -01 but were CY7C264 EPROM's. The Mostek's are unreliable and for

Re: Free to a good home
Hi Roger, A 7603 would be lovely. I have a working ish but in needs attention 7704A with plugins that I¡¯d happily swap for it. I need the space but don¡¯t want to skip anything unless I can

Re: Tektronix 2467B good buy?
Dear Menahem, Sergey, Harvey, Chuck and others, thanks for your advice, I did end up buying it as a refurb seems within my ability. Fortunately I do have a desolder station and can replace the chip

Re: Unknown Tek Scope
This may need a special USB 'Y' power cable to get enough current to operate. I had to buy them for some external hard drives, and a DVD burner.

Re: vintageTEK museum releases Replaceable Parts Registry (RPR)
Based on requests we have scanned the 151- transistors and it is now on tekwiki.org. It is 762 pages. We have been asked about OCRing the document. That would make it searchable but the experiments

Re: Cable lacing
Probably the same as the stuff used to tie old electric motor windings. I think it's just called "lacing cord" and there are a few different varieties. Some are heat shrinkable. I have a spool here

Restoring a 468
I'm tossing around the thought of restoring a 468. It has Mostek MK36694J-5 and MK36693J-5 ROMs. Are these something that in order to do a proper restore need to be replaced? I had originally planned

Re: Good loupes
I think they might be good. They have a clear part that is big like safety glasses, so maybe you can fit your prescription lenses in a frame under them.
