Re: WTB: AC/DC current probe
Hi Chris,
Remember that at 60 Hz an AC probe like P6019 or P6021 is useless when there is a substantial average DC component in the current (> 0.5 A for P6019 said by heart). For instance if you

Re: 7934 - failing storage tube?
Roger,
If you decide to not to go forward with your 7934 and wish to put it aside,
please contact me, as I am looking for a parts donor.

Re: WTB: AC/DC current probe
I think the cheapest route would be a Tektronix type 134 current probe amplifier
and P6019 or P6021 probe. That will give you a low frequency cutoff of less
than 12 Hz, sensitivity of from 1 mA/div

Re: Need a 2232 Bezel Button Flex
Thanks for the input. If enough need them, it might make it easier since I might be able to get them to make a larger quantity.

Re: WTB: AC/DC current probe
Whoops I did forget the frequency. As I'm looking to purchase a single "does it all" probe. I do have some switching applications in the 5-10Mhz region. I think a 50MHz probe would be ok for

Re: Need a 2232 Bezel Button Flex
I need one also although I may be able to repair mine. It is a common problem.
I think it will fit the 2221A and 2224.

Many of mine change in brightness as they warm up but it is gradual and stops

If it happens all at once, then I would suspect a high voltage part in the

Re: WTB: AC/DC current probe
You left out several other important considerations:
What current range do you want to measure (1mA, 1A, 100A)?
Does it have to clip-on or can the wire be passed through it without jaws that have to

Re: 7904 trace dimming
Hi David,
I have seen that on other 7000 scopes and even on some of the small TM500
scopes (SC501, SC502, SC503, SC504, and MR501). It is subtle. It was the
subject of some comments on the forum

Need a 2232 Bezel Button Flex
I have a 2232 with a broken flex at the storage buttons below the bezel. Mine has a break at the SAVE button and I got one from Qservice that was supposedly good but it has a break at the 4K button.

Re: 7934 - failing storage tube?
1. The 7934 CRT in non-storage mode is definitely not as bright as a 7904 CRT.
2. *Which* storage mode? They operate very differently.
3. Do you have the operator's manual? If so, read it

7904 trace dimming
Hello All,
I am noticing that as my 7904 is warming, the trace dims. It does this about 3-5 mins after power up and does so all at once. In other words, it is not gradual dimming. I need to

Re: 7934 - failing storage tube?
On my 7834s I thought the CRT image was pretty good until I got my 7904 and 7854
but I was used to 100 MHz oscilloscopes like the 22xx series.

Re: 7934 - failing storage tube?
The 7934 is only closely related to the 7904A. They use mostly the same major
integrated circuits including the channel switches and vertical CRT amplifiers.
