Re: OT+DC was Re: [TekScopes] 2465 Calibration
It doesn't surprise me. Just remember that information is sometimes defined as the logarithm of the probability: or, In = log (prob(x) ), where In is the numerical value of the information. The devil

As I approach 90 ( I'm 88 ) 7K scopes are a lot heavier that they used to be also. >

Re: 7000 plugin socket side covers?
If, IF, I do find some replacements, I think I read where there's a specific way to clip them into place. I see where one edge is a bit wider than the other and I _think_ that edge goes towards the

Um, perhaps you mean green soldermask.? Soldermask is most often green in color, although red, blue, and purple are becoming more popular lately.? Most PCB fab shops would rather do everything the

Gudjon, I¡¯ll be interested to see how you go - as far as I can see, the switches are tucked well in under the attenuator pcb and accessing the rear of them would require quite some dexterity! I¡¯ll

The side covers have never been printed successfully (to my knowledge); they are thin, delicate and the retention features are too small for accurate reproduction in a printer.? They provide the

I don't see what all the fuss is about in this offshoot of the original thread (2465 calibration). Disregarding the semantics, and "exact" definitions of things, I view DC just as valid as a "probe

7000 plugin socket side covers?
The side covers on the plugin sockets (P/N 200-0950-00) in my "new" scope are in pretty bad condition. I've read where folks have tried 3D printing those several years ago but not sure how that worked

Hi all Roman: I am pretty sure that by removing the trim capacitors, which is easy, you can disassemble and clean all the switches and assemble them again. I will try this as soon as I get some time

Another possible fix is to use AC Termination. This is a Series connected R-C placed in Parallel across the Cable Destination Load. Since you have a fixed frequency (1kHz), and a constant Impedance on

Some responses. Do you have a lot of Overshoot or Undershoot on the waveforms you are supplying it? On the other scope, what is the Rise and Fall Time? If it is too fast, since the Impedance is High,
