I have a RM 585A in reasonably good shap, but it won't slide more than about 1" out of the case before something on the right (CRT) side hit and prevents the scope from coming out - has anyone else

Okay. So I read a bit on DAR, which I had not heard of (that I recall). Read about Dissipation, Q, and such, but not Dielectric Absorption. I understand it as

Re: Type 130 L-C Meter
Rather coincidentally Mr Carlson, of the eponymous Lab, just posted a video on a very clean Type 130 that he owns.

Re: Type 130 L-C Meter
Great comments all! I am enjoying this immensely, and some of this information is actually ever so imperceptibly leaking into my wrinkled, ancient, ossified brain.
The saga of the 130 continues.

Re: Tek 2715 75 to 50 ohms conversion
After observing the comments and suggestions, I have to jump in here.
Basically, you want your 2715 analyzer to be a 2712? Why? It is already better than a 2712.
I realize the input connector is an

Re: 2465 Delta Cursor not visible
What's the voltage on the DLY_REF_1 line itself? Does it recover if you
disconnect P511?
I seem to remember cases where the bypass caps on the A1 board have gone
leaky and caused issues like this.

Re: Tek 2715 75 to 50 ohms conversion
Hi Jaap,
I did reply by email. But it seems you did not get my replies.
By changing to the 2712 software you mean changing the motherboard resistors so the analyser things its a 2712?

Re: Tek 2715 75 to 50 ohms conversion
Thanks for the help. So from the replies it would better to use a min loss pad or change the complete connector.

Many thanks Siggi for the feedback. I had actually just trawled through the manual and discovered this info (I'd missed it because I didn't understand where such functionality took place). I have now

Re: Tek 2211 - need a real manual (blue cover?)
Thanks - but a paper version is a damn sight easier to use and access in this environment! Biggest issue is always the fold-out pages.
Thanks for the link - will see if I can print it out.
