Re: Need suggestion on instrument synchronization
Interleaved: Lucky you to have so many.? I use ST Micro boards, which have significantly less resources. I kinda like touch screen graphics displays, but I can do them. Not needed to quite do that,

Re: Replacement Indicator Lamp - #683 or #680
That makes sense. I'm not sure how much I'd notice the difference for the backlight for the buttons in a plugin - especially the type that use a light pipe. For whatever reason, the 680 lamps are

Re: Replacement Indicator Lamp - #683 or #680
I don¡¯t know for sure, but you might find the 680 dimmer. One technique for extending lamp life is to derate it. So operate it at lower voltage/current than you would for the equivalent brightness

Re: Need suggestion on instrument synchronization
Harvey, You are right! 8GB RPI is close to $100.00 However, I do have a bunch RPIs for testing so no problem there. Also, I would drive it from a web page. No need for touch display. The way I see it,

Re: Need suggestion on instrument synchronization
I'm not sure that it's any better, but I do have perhaps a lots cheaper idea. Take the pulses from a pulse generator, or a square wave function generator, process them to the right amplitude and rise

Re: Tek 2430 saga (was RE: [TekScopes] ebay scammers to be aware of)
Not quite true. There is a "secret" sequence you can use to enable calibration without moving the jumper. On 2430 non A press these in sequence: ATT, TRIG, ADJ, ATT and the calibration routines are

Replacement Indicator Lamp - #683 or #680
One of the front-panel switch lamps needs to be replaced in my 7B70. The manual states that's a #683; however, I'm finding that a #680 appears to have the same electric specs and, I think, has the

2445B restored (and a question about cal data)
So, my 2445B is now a much happier oscilloscope :) Photos at /g/TekScopes/album?id=271502 Once I'd unsoldered everything I could not find any actual trace damage - the pads on the

Re: Type 547 series HV Transformer replacement/rewind
There has been a lot of discussion and videos of this subject on the facebook old tek scopes group recently. I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned it. A mate of mine here in Australia has recently

If you read some of the threads on eevblog relating to the seller's previous repairs you may find an explanation for conducting foreign objects inside your scope. Glad you have it sorted! Regards,

I'm sorry that I don't remember if I got them on ebay or just some website, but a year or two ago I bought a couple of "game console" service extender harnesses, that only require that you cut a few

Tek 577 IC sockets replacement - Is this a must?
Dear all. I am struggling to fix a Tek 577 curve tracer. Up to now I have replaced some components and was able to obtain the staircase signal as indicated on the schematics @ Q310 and TP360. However

Re: Tek 2430 saga (was RE: [TekScopes] ebay scammers to be aware of)
Hi, I'm not sure about the 2430, I sold mine some time ago, but the 2440 can fail self cal if the internal adjustmens for the ccd clocks are not optimal. As far as I recall, the 2430 has less internal

I totally understand and agree that the mechanical constraints and the very close proximity of very fine wire and very high voltage can be a problem. You have a very good point. Thanks. As for
