Re: bandwidth
Did you ever try one, Albert? I¡¯ve had several and I wouldn¡¯t agree with spec compliance on that point, unless they¡¯ve all been defective. I blamed my observation on Nyquist vs. 500 Msa/s.

Re: USB interface for the DPO / P7001
Hi Holger, Nice work, I'm always pleased to see new gadgets bridge the gap between the modern and the vintage. I invested effort into writing software that lets you connect the 7854 to the modern PC

Re: USB interface for the DPO / P7001
Looks very nice Holger. For the user it's likely far more convenient than your GPIB interface for the DPO. Success, Albert

¡°Nyquist¡± applies to continuous sinewave-like waveforms only, not single shots. That¡¯s why ¡®scopes don¡¯t show any reasonably usable waveforms even when complying, not even at

Re: HV transformer core disassembly
I tapped a razor blade between the two halves at the glue joint and it came apart easily. Maybe it was just a fluke, will know when I try another one. Chuck -- See Early TV at: www.myvintagetv.com

USB interface for the DPO / P7001
Hi everybody! I'm currently in the process of developing a USB interface for the Tektronix DPO (aka P7001). And I'm very happy to tell that my first prototype is now working. I've added some images to

Re: TEK 468 - intensity issue
thank You Mark, My bad about +15V, is not regulated rail, but unregulated +15V.., shows 22V. Waveform 161 indicate, thats ok, (21-21.8V).. Others tips i will check soon ..

Re: HV transformer core disassembly
I'm still quite a way from a successful wind and the only transformers for which I have winding data are the 545B/546/547, 549 and 556. Watch this space! Morris

Re: bandwidth
TekWIki says that the 2440 is 300MHz (analog bandwidth) with 500 MSa/s (digital sampling rate). It doesn't say what the single shot bandwidth is, but it has to be less than 250 MHz just based on

Hello Morris, I¡¯d also like some ¡°restoration¡± bits of that unit is (unfortunately) going to get scrapped. I¡¯d be happy to contribute to the postage if the chosen bits could be bulk shipped.

HV transformer core disassembly
Hi all, It's been a few years since I last disassembled a 500 series HV transformer core. It's a ferrite double "E" with a small air gap in the middle leg and the two outer legs glued together. I seem

If you're parting it out and don't mind posting stuff to Australia i wouldn't mind a few bits. I'd like the HV transformer and the "Graham Cracker" non inductive resistors from the final stage of the

Do any of you own an 1180xx/CSA803x? It takes 3 V to blow a sampling head! I paid Tektronix (chipxs) $250 for my SD-24 and $750 for my SD-32 prototype. The SD-32 is labeled SD-30 and was listed by Tek
