Re: 2235 AN/USM-488 power supply low voltages
Im still struggling with this power supply If I remove the A5 board from the scope the power supply voltages return to normal and can be adjusted to spec by adjusting R938. As soon as I plug the A5

Re: Broke my TDS3000B
All channels equally impacted. Yes I was referring to the big National Semi IC. Sweep rates of 400us and slower are just fine. Anything faster is a total mess. I see the MPC860 now - right next to the

Re: Broke my TDS3000B
Hi Dave, Worked long ago with 3054, loved that scope (some people don't like Tek, I do). Unfortunately I never looked inside one so far (seen something on you tube) and I'm afraid I could be of no

Reply to myself: I have to make a correction: during power up / self test sequence one can see some colors on screen, not very obvious, but always the same, so the system synchronizes quite early in

Re: TDS544A with strange display #photo-notice
Thanks, Hakan, your effort to do this and show it here is more than anyone would expect. If someone will see that issue with their scope will have a chance to fix it (not going to say easy, but can be

Re: Broke my TDS3000B

Re: 3T77 tunnel diodes (again)
If you're having problems seeing small parts, try soldering on the window sill, facing north, during an overcast afternoon. You will see MUCH better. No joke. That's how I do all my micro soldering.

Re: Seeking 015-0413-00 Info
Thanks Hakan! That's super helpful. Unfortunately while there are reference designators for the components in the detector head, they do not appear on the parts list. This is still way more

Re: TDS544A with strange display #photo-notice
I had some pictures that I took when doing this on my TDS784A but notes were nowhere to found. So I opened up the 784A and together with the pictures I composed a document on how it's done. Could be

Re: To Beeswax or not to Beeswax: that is the question.
That has been discussed to death, but to recap: The 647 was tek's first wide temperature range scope. It operated from -30 to +65C, which would melt the beeswax out of the transformers. Tek did two
