Re: Elastomer Switch / HYPCON Contact Cleaning 067-0587-02 Standardizer
I've cleaned and adjusted these - and they are a pain. To clean the pads on the PCB, you'll need to remove the switch assembly (follow instructions carefully), and use pure isopropyl alcohol for

Roger,
I figured out that those were the connections I swapped to get the left to right beam.
I took a picture of the signals :

I was going to make the same request, but not to own it, just to scan it
for TekWiki. There are some manuals there already

Re: 2467B
Hi,
It is standard practice to reset the power cycle counter,
and the hours counter when a scope is calibrated.
The purpose of the counter is to give the calibration
technician some idea of how long

Re: 2236 Manuals
Morning All!
I had a 2445. As far as I was concerned, it was clumsy
for what I do. I service antique radios and comm gear.
You have to play games with the 2445 to get an actual
freq readout and

Re: Elastomer Switch / HYPCON Contact Cleaning 067-0587-02 Standardizer
Reijek, bonjour
the Elastomeric switches are the most delicate and finicky to fix.
Deoxit is normally fine for contacts BUT use of ANYTHING not in the official Tektronix proceedure is risky and

Re: [dead tek 485] Can i fix it ? (newbie here)
Jose,
I believe you have another scope available. Can you leave the 485 in X-Y mode and measure the two X deflection plates in turn? The important question is what is the approximate frequency of

Re: 2236 Manuals
Oops! My bad. Momentary dyslexia or something like that. I misread the
original message as 2336 instead of 2236. It is a 2336-YA manual that I
found on eBay. Sorry for the mistake.

Re: [dead tek 485] Can i fix it ? (newbie here)

I think there is another clue in your picture. As Jeff says the vertical bar on the left of the display is the beam spot before the sweep starts, but it is not just a narrow vertical line, it

Re: 2236 Manuals

No, it most certainly was not. A fully optioned Chevy Caprice Classic cost half as much as 485 around that same time.
It's fascinating, however, that the 2465, which has many of the same

Re: 2236 Manuals
That's quite a leap from the 2235 to the 2236. Yeah, I think it'd be a fair guess as to why the 2235 is literally available by the pallet on eBay today, and the 2236 not so much.
Any chance of taking

I have just confirmed operation on my TM5006.
As Ed mentions, during the voltage tests, the measured voltages are lower than the TM500 mainframe values in the tables in the manual.
