"Scope" button? I know I need to read the manual, but I don't see a button labeled "Scope" (or am I being too literal here?) :) DaveD PS - You may want to post your power supply question to the

Re: Frequency response flatness in conventional sampling (say 7S11/S
Hi David, Your reasoning might be all right for the blow-by effect itself. What still remains is the effect of blow-by compensation. Not at high frequencies, but at frequencies in the bandpass (S-4:

Re: [hp_agilent_equipment] 7854 (was "e-Bay "Make offer" - CAMERA TUBE.... OT" on hp-agilent group)
John, I'm moving this to the TekScopes Yahoo group. In answer to your question, no, I have not done more than look briefly at the ops manual. That is why I wrote that I may not know how to make it

Re: Tek 422 HV power supply issues
A little more investigation showed the blanking levels did not match the waveform diagrams; putting a meter on the +55 showed +66, so now it's on to the LV ps. Anyone have a schematic or link to a 422

Re: DC504 counter display
Taylor, Your suggestion of the TI til302 is a good one. The dimensions & pinout match the ones in the DC504. The chips are only 1.4 inches thick, which is what I need. But, this part is obsolete. I

I know it's nicknamed evil-bay, but anyway, there's a 556 out there right now. It's in Milwaukee, with Type 1A2 and CA plugins.

Tek TM flex extender wire gauge
Yes, I make a kit, and can send you wires or you could use your own for less. I've been using the same 24 gauge wire as for 7k extenders, but the originals seem to use a little larger gauge. Does

Re: 2213 Main Power Switch Removal
I have a new switch on order but I will try that while waiting. Thanks. And with respect to Tom's advice to just pop the actuator off toward the front with a screwdriver that indeed worked perfectly.

Re: TroubleShooting Some TM500 gear.
I purchased two TM500 extenders and four 7K extenders from John. I am building the TM500 extenders now. The PWBs are of very good quality and John has done a very good job with supplying the kits. If

Re: Tek 422 HV power supply issues
Resistors looked more or less OK, that was one of the first things I checked. The 2 2.2M in series had drifted down to 4.2M, while the 1M focus was up to 1.2M, so more or less a wash. More

Re: What use for a 640 Ohm 1x Probe?
This probe (it says Fairchild Scientific Instruments 106 on the cable) is a good 1x probe. I bit the bullet and tested it on a scope compensation signal and it has a slight overshoot but a very flat

I'm with Tom. I ordered the arcade cards first, then got two sets each of the TM500 and 7000 extenders from John. Much, much better IMO. Mark
