Thanks for the inputs..... Now I can't get the plastic knobs off. The 'red' one came off ok; on the 'gray', I can't get the allen wrench into the set screw. This is going to be a fun project.

Thanks for the input. What I'm trying to figure out is a way to lubricate the switch without having to remove most of 'scopes' parts. This thing is packed tighter than a sardine can. Is there is an easier way?
