Thanks for the input. What I'm trying to figure out is a
way to lubricate the switch without having to remove most
of 'scopes' parts. This thing is packed tighter than a
sardine can. Is there is an easier way?

Stand it up on the back legs.
Take the knobs off of the T/D switches.
Put just! enough sewing machine oil at the point where the shafts
enter the bushings.
"Just enough" is about two drops or barely starting to rise up at
the
meeting point.
Rinse, lather and repeat.
This might take days to work, just be certain not to use too much
oil!.
