Unforch, I don't have a HV spark generator. Though I could think of a few nefarious uses I could put it too... ;-)

Before I go and do all that, would you guys look at the photos I
just put up of the pin and strap, and see if you think it's even
possible? To me, the gap between the pin and the strap is a little
bit too large. The two photos are in the folder called SC503 CRT.
