Re: Tek 154-0812-00 Storage CRT

I was able to repair a problem like that once by using the HV supply from an old 13" color TV. I was careful to position the CRT so that the detached strap would fall in the right direction when it melted. Fortunately, it landed in the right place, and made an electrical connection. While 25kV might sound excessive, the current is so low that there's no possibility of burning out the heater.

Looking for the CRT for the SC503. Shows an open on the ohm meter across the heater. Pulled the jug out of the shield, and sure enough, pin 12 has separated from the thin strip that leads to the heater.

Anybody have a spare CRT they might be interested in parting with?

Thanks,
Mark
