I also have a 175 high current adaptor. I too need to find connectors to make up patch cord between 575 and 175.? As yet I have not powered up my 175. Maybe now is A good time to work on getting my 175 up and working too.? Did you find a place to get connectors for patch cord ?

Hi all

I've recently got my hands on a 175 high current adaptor (thanks Phil), and
am in the process of procuring the connectors to make up the umbilical to
connect to one of my 575's. There seems to be a dearth of information on
the list (the archives and images files), and even on the web about this
unit. Seems to be fairly rare.

Does anyone have one of these and knows of any particular gotchas before I
connect this up in the next couple of weeks? I do have the manual by the
way.

For the uninitiated this beast can supply a collector current of 200A single
family or 100A continuous (at 20V, and and 40A at 100V) a base current of
12A. It actually weighs more than the 575. There are precious few
transistors out there even now that can cope with what this unit can put
out. Collector dissipation of 1kW...
