Re: No blancking at 1S2 in 132 on 7603

It worked, i tested it with the 1S1 that was in there. And then I see the sawtooth and 1S1 signal at the same time. ?By not using the chop knob but on of the order ( can not remember, the sawtooth dissapears but the signal trace stays visible.?
So thanks, This was nice information, learned a bit more about how the 7603 works.

I also did some BW tests. Using the original cables at a 1M plugin gave 3dB BW of 32MHz on a 1A4. The 50 ohm cables, terminated in 50 ohm only at the scope, gave a 37 MHz bandwidth.
Amplitude is in both settings correct when changing V/Div
So i now use two short cables to a 7A24, nice compact. The cables are just long enough to reach the DSO that also has 50 ohm inputs ( and inverse channel 2 function) ( and if i remember well external trigger input is also X in)

Hi Fred,

You use the 7603 in XY-mode, so it knows nothing about retrace, whatever you do. Also you can't (simply) wire a blanking signal from 1S2 to 7603.
You could feed the 1S2 horizontal output in a 7A18, set the 7603 to CHOP mode, trigger the 7B70 from the 7A18 and select a suitable 7B70 sweep speed.
Not very handy perhaps, but it's nice to see both 1S2 signals displayed together.

> If I connect the 1S2 in my 132 to a 7603 the trace does not blanck between sweeps. So I get a bright pot and faint trace above the original. Very irritating. Is there some switch ( on he back) on the scope or 132 I must use ? The scope is on a shelf and rather heavy ( and I have spine pronlems) so I ask here before I ask someone to lift it out for me unneccessary
