Usually solid tantalums can be replaced with low impedance aluminum
electrolytics of 2 to 4 times the capacitance. The increased
capacitance is necessary to duplicate the tantalums ESR or dissipation
factor.
If you do replace them with solid tantalums, be sure to raise the
voltage derating. Use a 35 volt or 50 volt tantalum on a 20 volt
supply for example.
