Hi to Both,
I must admit there is something strange with the ribbon connectors used in the TG501A and I think also in the TG501 for the connection of the Multiplier Board to the Main Board.
Except the good habit of making good pictures before you disassemble a Module there is a logic in the harmonica(ribbon)connectors. This to compensate for the absence of the notch. Brown is 1, Red is 2. etc. (like the color coding of resistors/capacitors etc.). "Normally" brown is the cable closest to the arrow on the PWB. With the TG501A it is the other way round! 5 is Brown, 4 is Red, 3 is Orange and 2 is Yellow?. I assume with the TG501 it is the same, notwithstanding that the Mainboard is mounted reversed and I cannot clearly see the ribbon between the Multiplier Board and the Main Board in my TG501. I have both thus in case I must....
