2430A screen flicker when running self cal and looking for a trigger. Normal?

 

I have bought two 2430A scopes that both seem to flicker slightly on
the CRT when running a self cal and when looking for a trigger. Other
than that they work perfectly. I'm beginning to think this might be
normal. Can anybody please confirm this?
