Then I looked at the schematic again and realized that the DC Offset line ALSO connects the integrator output (which is inverted) back to the grid, and I had not realized that this WAS feedback!
Yes! Thanks for pointing that out. So now I've ungrounded the input Nuvistor grid, but things don't look any better. The output sampling diodes are still removed. The A channel is out of sight, offscreen, and TP 10A is at 22 V. I clearly have more thinking to do on this.
