The TDS500/600/700 series are bad for this too.
A number of scrapped 'dumpster' scopes I've acquired for parts have had the case removed with the liberal use of aluminium snips.
There have been a couple that weren't scrap that had been dropped sometime in their lives or during transit that a needed careful application of force to remove the case with a minimum of damage.
