Another question for you on my TDS540 repair mission;
When switched on from cold the traces are all off the bottom of the screen, but the trace indicator icon is in the right place. Over the next few minutes, no more than about 5min, the traces slowly rise up and eventually settle in the right place. With a test signal applied, the triggering starts once the traces reach the trigger level.
So I¡¯m assuming I have yet another open circuit track to find.
Since this affects all traces, I¡¯m thinking it is nothing to do with the attenuator board. But what area on the acquisition board should I be looking at? What signal is it that defines the trace vertical position?
