Nice one for the time and consideration.

I had been under the impression that these damaged components were collateral damage from when the transformer wires had been crossed which had led to excessively high voltages on the +65 and +140v section. At that time, a couple of the resistors had been damaged, raising their resistance. We were getting over +200 volts at one point, so I was expecting to find various damged components across different boards.

Having a look just now, none of the three replaced diodes CR948, CR949 and VR948 have yet failed and quickly checking R948, it appears to be functioning as normal. S948 switches between 22k and OL on the DMM


I'll be heading into town later today to get the correct components, as I am hoping that this damaged section came from the aforementioned power supply error.


Next on the list is to work out why the +5v bridge rectifier runs so hot...
