As others have noted, however, there exist version of this scope with an
integrated NVRAM.
My 2430A is one of those. The batteries in the Dallas modules gave up a few years ago so I first lost trace storage and then the calibration data. I replaced both RAMs with Cypress FRAMs (ferroelectric RAMs) which are non-volatile. No modifications required. I just went through the calibration procedure, which only needs DC voltages, and the scope was good as new, and still is.
