Yes, they are different. The 2430A is more in line with the 2432 and 2440.
The 2430 (not A) even has a different front panel. Check right below the
horizontal speed knob, the A version has more buttons there. The sample
rate and the bandwidth are same for the 2430 and the 2430A, but there are
some functions related to automated measurements and measurement automation
are missing.
So whether this is an oversight on the side of the seller or deliberate
scam, I don't know, but you should definitely complain. Check the photos
and the description as with the different front panel, it is easy to tell
the difference.
