Tektronix 2464B drooping lines on display text

Hey y'all!

I just got my hands on a 2465B and I've started my project to get it back into working condition! I'm pretty novice as far as electronics go, but I know my way around a soldering iron and have built a decent number of guitar pedals and other little hobby projects so I'm really looking forward to making progress on this thing. It had no display at all when I first got it, but a simple grid bias adjustment made things start appearing on the screen.

...scary things. Check out the photo I just uploaded:

CURSED! HAUNTED! Kinda neat.

So, I started with the obvious. The power supply caps were all original, so I replaced all of them along with R1071 which was looking pretty crispy (check out the album ^). Unfortunately, the screen is still acting very much the same. I'll probably just work my way through A5's caps next, but this community has a rare wealth of expertise on these things and I can't pass up an opportunity to tap into that!

I wanted to see if anyone has seen those drooping lines and ghosting of text before. It's not just the focus unfortunately. That linked photo above shows the ghosting really well, and this 2nd photo here shows the 2 sets of squiggly lines on the top and bottom parts of the display that seem to just always be there regardless of the mode. /g/TekScopes/photo/268809/3314114

I found Flannel Tuba's album with a scope that had a really similar-looking problem here:

They ended up replacing the whole CRT, but I'm *really* hoping that's not required here. I'm willing to do that if I end up needing to, but I'd much rather replace the cheap common electrical parts than the big expensive rare part!

There are a few other problems too (adjusting channel 2's v/div to its lowest value distorts the screen! also not able to get a signal to appear as far as I can tell), but I'm trying to take them one step at a time and not get too overwhelmed. I figure getting the display into clean working order is the most logical place to start.

Thanks in advance for any tips!
