Hi Liam,
I no longer have an S61, but from what I dimly recall, that model is pretty much a D61 without a second channel. So, the docs for a D61 should provide most of what you need to debug an S61. I think the main boards are actually identical (with some parts unstuffed for the S61), but I'm not 100% certain of that. The models with an "A" suffix are electrically similar to their non-A predecessors as well, but there are more layout differences (and, if I recall, the power supply is significantly different) that can slow you down. Stil better than having to trace everything yourself, though.
