I recommend strongly against buying NVRAM modules on ebay, or
Amazon. They are very commonly faked by removing the date code,
and re stamping them with something current.
Buy them from DigiKey, Mouser, Newark, or some other reputable vendor.

Thanks for the advice on the battery. I guess I can just buy new modules and they will come with internal batteries. As for recalibration, it does seem tedious so I don't know if I want to do that, in light of so many other ongoing projects. At least two of my projects are being abandoned, as they are not really worth it to me.
I have a transceiver, a linear amplifier, an LC meter, a VNA, a nanoVNA, two antennas, a signal generator, a chart recorder, and a few other items waiting for my attention, besides the 'scope. No shortage of fun things to do.
I will look into purchasing some NVRAM modules; I need two of them at least 120 ns or faster. They are on ebay last time I looked.
