Seems we are in the same boat! This instrument has been flawless for over 2 years. All the sudden, it quits. . . . Sickening! I got this instrument from E-bay for $100, including shipping, so it was a real bargain, that only makes it worse in some ways. This is a 1998 or 1999 production run, so only about half as old as some of my other scopes. Capable, but also infinitely less repairable. The lack of proper technical information is quite frustrating. I see no issues with the caps, they are not leaking, they check "good" in circuit and the board traces appear perfect. No sign of any heat or "magic smoke" are apparent. I would appreciate any ideas that you put forward and will certainly update this group if and when a repair is effected.
