Nenad, I forgot to ask: is Offset functioning in the right direction?
That is trace goes upward when you rotate Offset clockwise. Albert.
Yes it does. On the 500mV/div setting the range that I'm getting is
-2.7div and +2.2div on the graticule. On higher settings I can go off
screen.
Another thing (take into account that I'm completely new to 7S12 and may
not be using it right) when scanning control is set to REP and SCAN is
fully CCW (LOCATE pushed in), trace becomes a slow moving blinking dot. As
I rotate SCAN in CW direction it speeds up, but its "trace" starts to
resemble a Morse code (dots and dashes). It actually just modulates the
mainframe brightness (dots and dashes are just highlighted parts of the
otherwise continuous trace). With SCAN fully CW, trace becomes a mess of
asynchronously flickering segments. TIME/DIV control has no apparent
affect. With LOCATE pushed out, the highlighted part is on the left side of
the screen (TIME/DIV now determines its length), and can be moved slowly to
the right using TIME-DISTANCE control. The non-highlighted remainder of the
trace is still like Morse code.
