I decided to perform a suggested repair on the 577 Mainboard by replacing the IC sockets that are prone to failure. The operation is complete and later when I get this instrument all together I will observe the results.
To perform this task wasn't that bad. With the help of a camera to document what cables went where, the necessary precision hex tools, screw driver, wrenches, and desoldering gun, I was able to perform this task.
This took many hours to perform and that includes breaks. I found that you can't rush this, just be patient and careful.
