The OS-245 has a militarized gray cabinet with excellent louvers. It is
the same as a 7603N (i.e., no readout).
I have one (but, like many things, don't need it).

Thanks Roy. I should have mentioned that this one has a 1A4.

David,
I have a new-to-me 547 here now. The vertical input is normally managed
with a plug-in such as the 1A1 or the earlier CA.
The 547 does have an input for external horizontal input. I will be using
mine for receiver sweep alignment with an HP 8601 Sweep Generator.
The 547 is a superb scope. Do not pass it up.
Roy sends.

Hey all,
quick question... I'm looking at a 547 for possible acquisition. I'm in
the market for a scope with separate horizontal and vertical inputs. On
some scopes, these are explicitly labeled. On the 547, I see an explicit
input for horizontal.. but not one for vertical. Is there some other input
that's labeled differently that does the vertical?
The same seller has an OS-245 which according to the Tek wiki is a
ruggedized military grade version of the 7603. Can anyone comment on the
specific differences between a standard 7603 and the OS-245 and why those
differences might make the OS-245 desirable?
Thanks!
