Thanks for commenting. Sounds like I need to do some experimenting to see what the limitations are with my 2 scopes. I need to just try some known test circuits, and dig into some docs on my scopes and older scope docs for further information.
Should I look at some information on differential probe equipment? If there is anything I've learned, sales brochures for tools that address a given problem using more conventional tools or means, do a great job of telling you what the problem is with the conventional means.
