Since it sounds like there is a problem with your front panel, I recommend
running the diagnostics via RS-232 instead of via the front panel.
I doubt that communication via RS-232 or GPIB would be possible now that the system "hangs" after the error messages at start-up.

I'm not sure about the CSA803, but on the 11401/11402, "E2131" means that the
front panel interrupt did not occur after the interrupts were cleared and the
infrared LEDs were turned off and then back on. That should normally generate
an interrupt. That's how it works on the 11401/11402, anyway.
I don't understand yet where or how an interrupt is generated. Is the A10 Front Panel Control board itself continuously scanning the touch panel and interpreting the pattern of responses? Or are the response data always sent to the SDI and interpreted by the SDI or the main processor?

Do we have full documentation for the CSA803? The service manual that is on
Tekwiki doesn't describe the tests that correspond to the error codes.
The schematics and descriptions in the 11301/11302 Preliminary service manual were helpful to understand the global picture, but the details of for instance the touch panel are quite different.
