I have been reading and glad I waited to chime in, my initial thoughts are just as Rick stated.
KISS principle.? Having been treasurer for a few groups in the past, Rick is pretty much on the mark.
?Someone still will need to "play" book keeper/accountant and log the activity just for the one person who must see where it all goes...simple spread sheet would/should suffice.
WE are not trying to run a business, just pay the maintenance fees.

But is this really the only expense? It seems you do a lot for the community that may inure other direct or indirect expenses that can be compensated.
If for some reason you get a ton of $$$ (which I doubt) then ask the group what is fair to do with it. My gut is there are other tek groups like the tek manual scanning group that could use some funds. Who pays for Tek Wiki webspace? How is that funded?
