Hello the forum,
Relevance to Forum, it is used in cleaning switches in Tektronix equipment.
I bought a can of this product, 801B-125G. The spray tube just will not
insert. Like many of you, I have inserted these spray tubes over the years.
I contacted the dealer, they take no responsibility, said contact MG Chemical.
So I did.

Hello Mg Chemicals,
I have now purchased a second spray can of your SUPER CONTACT CLEANER 801B-125G.
I bought the second can from a different seller, intending to return the first can!!
The red spray tube DOES NOT FIT INTO THE NOZZLE!! This second can has the SAME PROBLEM!
I am in my 60's and worked as electronic / microcomputer engineer 3 decades. I have used may
sprays, and inserted many spray tubes. Yes, it needs to be a snug fit. But these red spray
tubes are not inserting, if I use any more force it would damage the tube. I see no instructions
showing some SPECIAL method to insert the tube.
Since these two cans came from different suppliers, this problem is a bigger problem.
Please help.

Well, they responded

Hello Stan,
I do apologize for inconvenience this has caused. The easy way to do fit it in is to take the nozzle out first. Secondly, hold the nozzle upright with one hand and the other hand with tube. Make sure to angle the tube about 45 degrees downwards as you adjust the fit. Apply gentle force and it should fit in without any issue. I just tried few cans and it worked. Do not hesitate if you have any questions.

It did not work. I have sent another email

Hello Titus Cheruiyot, thanks for your reply.
Never having had to used this procedure, I gave it a try,
I take it that to "hold the nozzle upright" to mean to align the receiving cylindrical opening
so its center line (axis) is vertically aligned. an inserted spray tube would stand upright.
Then position the spray tube with its axis at a 45 deg to the nozzle axis, and insert. A gentle force!
IT DOES NOT INSERT. IT WILL NOT GO IN.
I decided to "scrapped" it's end a bit, if I screw up I can just cut with exacto knife 1/2" with little
loss of tube length. I did not "cut" or "shave" off material. I "scrapped" off a tiny amour all the
way around the circumference. Using the blade in a negative rake (lathe term). It is "dragging"
the blade instead of pushing the blade into the material. This removes a very thin amount.
Now I inserted it with difficulty, not sure how well it will stay inserted. Perhaps I should glue it?
This makes me think something is wrong here.
1> Was there a production lot of defective spray tubes or nozzles?
2> Are there counterfeits of this product?
I sure would like a nozzle and spray tube that are working correctly. This spray cleaner is
highly respected, and it costs a fair amount also!
I am going to post this questions on a couple of electronic / test equipment forums.
Sincerely, Stan Krumme
