Yes as far as I know, but because reflections come from many directions
simultaneously it might be hard to control. Light would be coming in from
all directions resulting many overlapping signals each with different color
content. What is can specifically do is measure the absorption of light
passing through a sample of liquid. There you have one liquid substance at a
time so your experiment is more tightly controlled.
