Re: After 8 years and over 1000 hrs time to finish up the control stick :)
Has this (someone grabbing control stick) happened to anyone here on this
forum? Just curious to hear the story and lessons learned?

N370Y was also in Champion Spark Plug ads in several aviation publications. Also in Air Progress. The airplane was built in a horrible old building that was rented by EAA Chapter 73 in Bloomfield NY.

Re: Autopilot?
One option is a Dynon EFIS with two of their servos. Both servos mounted behind the seats. Ailerons can be connected to a fitting welded to the aileron bellcrank.? Elevator connected to a fitting

Re: ELT Antenna Mounting location INSIDE fuse?
This is how and where I ended up mounting my elt after having several problems with my elt going off when my ADSB was on. ELT manufacture said to mount it as far from the transponder and ADSB

Re: Autopilot?
No autopilot. I was planning a GRT mini and autopilot before my mission

Re: ELT Antenna Mounting location INSIDE fuse?
Thanks everyone for the info and pics. I have decided to mount mine like
Bill's behind the baggage compartment. I made a small aluminum bracket
which uses the cross bar at the back of the luggage area

Re: After 8 years and over 1000 hrs time to finish up the control stick :)
May be related to this thread, I sometimes think about how to handle in the case of a panicking passenger or student, who in whatever situation grabbs at the control stick and gives it a dangerous

Re: Page 31 fro 1964 Sport Aviation
My guess is that he is 23 ear old Jim Stanton, the respected Wittman Tailwind mentor.
I will admit that I did peek.

Autopilot?
Bob,
Is that an autopilot I see in the panel picture?
What was involved with its installation?
Are you happy with it or would you do something different?
Thanks,

Re: ELT Antenna Mounting location INSIDE fuse?
I had numerous problems with my ELT going off and with discussions with the
ELT vendor it was determined to be spacing between my ELT and transponder.
I had to have a minimum of 2 feet. This includes

Most aircraft today are built using electrically conducting materials ( aluminum or carbon fiber composite).
In a crash, it is possible (likely?) the antenna will be sheared
