A little history:
The FAA was formed in 1958. The first administrator was Retired General Elwood Quesada. For Quesada's term he was primarily an errand boy for American Airline's CEO C.R. Smith. Smith hated the mere concept of private flying. Private flying has been going downhill ever since.
ADSB is simply the latest step by FAA to eliminate those dangerous and annoying Piper Cubs.?
A substantial expansion of Class C airspace is the next step.?
AOPA is a totally worthless organization. There main purpose seems to be to separate their members from obscene "dues" so they can pay their CEO an annual salary of 1 million.?
The FAA is aided and abetted by "the children of the magenta line". The majority of the children spend enough on their instrument panels to build at least three Tailwinds. The children believe that anyone who does not have ADS B equipment is mentally ill.?
The DC midair is the fifth midair collision between aircraft in ADSB required airspace. The gotcha factor is that the DC Helo had a switch to turn off ADSB. The FAA approved the military turning off ADSB.? A civilian who gets caught turning off ADSB will have their certificate REVOKED.
July will be my tenth trip to Wisconsin with my W10. Two of those have continued to New York State. I do not have ADS B. AZ to WI has not been an issue but IL to NY has been an issue, especially deviating around weather.
I have an ADSB unit but am undecided whether I am going to install it.?
