Re: Daytime Venus

Well that explains it, George.
The only times I ever looked straight up was with a 90¡ã diagonal or if I were flat on my back. Even then it meant I wasn't getting up without serious leverage or a helpful lift... ;)?

Daytime Venus

Look just above the moon right now and you can see Venus with the naked eye in daylight.

Re: TAAS and SAS

How to access the observing site attached. A soft ¡®car count¡¯ from this group would be helpful. I expect you¡¯d likely have equipment so follow the directions accordingly to park up top. Contact me directly text 949-289-3672 with specific questions.

How do you feel about me letting a few Lyme Land Trust astronomers know about the Penny Lane get together? No telling what the up-take would be. In any event, they will be present for that evening's observing session.
?
FYI Here are our next few observing dates

Re: TAAS and SAS

Hi All,
?
Let's plan on Penny Lane on Saturday the 22nd at 2 PM for those that can attend.
I understand that everyone has different circumstances and I certainly respect that.
Perhaps I can entice you to attend one of our in-person meetings at Deer Lake Outdoor Center in Killingworth, CT??
Our meeting hall is Humongous and is essentially a banquet hall for weddings with very high ceilings and lots and lots of elbow room.? Lee/Mark/Deb can attest.? ?
We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 PM.??
?
Also, I know I missed the last TAAS meeting.? What's the general schedule/meeting date/time so I don't miss it next time?
?
Thanks all,
Jeff
