Re: T27 trailer?
I'm going to need to move my T27 from Eden, Md to Jacksonville? Fl sometime after the Holiday rush ends. I may put my big truck on the road then as well, which would make things easier. I'd still need to borrow/rent a stepdeck but I have friends with them. Lots of moving parts right now, a lot depends upon how busy Ups remains, how much I make the next few weeks. Anyway I'd be up for an adventure given the proper circumstances. Feel free to contact me. Rob, Nine oh four, 4 six five, forty seven, sixtee.? If you¡¯re considering spending that kind of money to move the boat I would suggest seriously thinking about buying and outfitting a trailer with 5000lb axles and running gear etc. as long it¡¯s a sound frame of 10k capacity in very good condition throughout. All the running gear and lights would cost Iin the area of $1k if you need everything. If you¡¯re a DIY guy you can do much or hire it out...also need boat supports but you could end up with great trailer to use again, sell, or even rent out at or less than the cost of shipping the boat. Re: T27 trailer?
Just a reminder that the boat can be loaded onto a step deck trailer or gooseneck trailer and a wooden cradle can be built up before or after to support it in transit. T27 with its shallow draft and long keel is particularly suited to this type of transport. At 8k lbs it's not super heavy either. I haven't done it but I have hauled lots of stuff on flatbed and stepdeck trailers. Just a matter of carpentry and rigging. A 24 ft heavy duty equipment trailer would probably work as well. --Regards, Rob. Eddie: Here are a couple of pics of ADRI-ANNE this year at the slip and before drop-in and a 2017 pic on the water.? We only sailed her once this year and she's been daysailed only since about 2000.? She needs some work, but engine runs and sails in great shape.? I winterized her but haven't put a cover on yet.? I'm hoping to get $5,700 but am open.? Cushions are in great shape custom made covered with sunbrella. Bob
