Re: Updates to a rebuild
?The SubiChip that I bought for my SVX engine in my Westy supposedly is the JDM map. It solved a 2200 rpm flat spot that plagues the US market engines.

I can relate to schematic issues. Having done 4 engine conversions in my
van over the 30 years I have owned it (currently SVX powered with a Vanagon
5 spd--beefed up), it is confusing. But my

Just seeing the thread mentioning tuning an ecu, I was wondering f there are opinions on the pros and cons of doing this?? I put a EJ25 from a 2000 Outback in my 82 Vanagon and have been quite happy

Re: Updates to a rebuild
That¡¯s a lot of work!
It will pay off.
Did you send your ecu out to get tuned or do you have a tuner?

Could be - I reckon I should just pull the existing one out and compare.
There is also a longer one but seems to indicate its for an oil cooler. Thanks

Does anyone know the part number I need to replace the oil filter stud? Not sure if it matters EJ22 or EJ25.
