Re: vanagon dash lights for alternator and oxygen sensor lights
Mark, I have the EXACT same issue after replacing an ancient Subaru alternator on my EJ22 with one off Amazon.? (I figured brushes and bearings might be near their end, and alternators are cheap.)?

Help with Tachometer
Somewhere I remember about a "resistor" that facilitates the tach so that the original VW tach can be used. Any help appreciated.

Re: vanagon dash lights for alternator and oxygen sensor lights
OXS light is always on when ALT is, so that's not an issue. It's done as a

Re: Switching from Kennedy adapter to RJES
When I bought my van it had a Kennedy adapter plate from the 90s and it was in horrible shape. Looked like it was sitting at the bottom of the ocean. You could flake big chunks off it with your

Re: Switching from Kennedy adapter to RJES
I've run this since around 2000, in Ontario, and all through each winter.? ?And a lot of salt is used here.
For what it's worth, the transmission is extremely corroded as well.

How old is that? And what climate are you in? Aluminium shouldn't degrade

grounding all leading to that level of

Re: Updates to a rebuild
?The SubiChip that I bought for my SVX engine in my Westy supposedly is the JDM map. It solved a 2200 rpm flat spot that plagues the US market engines.
