Re: Engine temp at idle
I just installed Tom's Thermostat by-pass into my 2.5 and it seems to have evened out the temperature quite a bit. I run a steady 195. I won't know until the weather warms back up into the 90's though

Re: Small Car Reverse Coolant Manifold [2 Attachments]
Yep I used the complete Small Car system and ran into that tight fit. The compressor just helps to keep the hose in place ?. Terry *Terry A Shaw* subaruvanagon@...> wrote:

Hiss when depressing Brake and/or clutch pedal
Not sure if this is conversion related but now there is a clear and audible sound when I depress either pedal. I presume this has to do with the master cylinder/brake assist? It appeared right around

Re: "Best" OBD II Reader?
Olivrrat, you may be right that it costs more, but to me it's the same as putting in a 2.2 and then wishing you had spent the money and put a 2.5 in the engine bay instead. Blue driver is awesome?

Re: "Best" OBD II Reader?
I have the scan gauge and love it, but to really see what's going on I use a " blue driver" unit it's absolutely fabulous and I transfer it between vehicles. Check it out. Terry *Terry A Shaw*

Re: "Best" OBD II Reader?
The torque app has horrible reviews for an iPhone. The other app linked has much better reviews. Has anyone had issues with the torque app and using the WiFi adapter the was linked here? Thanx

Isn't there a difference with the way the vw and Subaru heaters work?? Isn't there a necessity to add a by-pass when doing a conversion so that hot water has a path back to the engine if the vw
