Warren’s Conversion - 2.1 Engine and Tranny Removal
I thought as I move to phase two of this project it would make sense to start a new topic related to pulling the engine and transmission from my 89 Westy.?
Hang with me as I’ll need some advice going forward ?Thanks!

Re: Warren’s Conversion
So today I got the engine off the stand and onto the motorcycle jack that I intend to use when installing it in the bus. The Harbor Freight 1,000 pound engine stand and their 1 ton shop crane /hoist do not mate up. The problem is that the hoist, fully extended, will not reach anywhere near the engine to lift it from the stand. I thought about welding an extension to the jib to reach a bit farther but I was concerned that it would create a hazard and exceed the limit of the hoist. But someone on YouTube had a solution. They took the foldable legs off the hoist and, using 7inch bolts, mounted them on the outside. I did this and it worked perfectly.?

I found this black wire soldered to the blue wire mentioned by Busaru behind the fuse panel. Disconnected the wires and now my alt and oxs light come on when I turn the key and they both turn off when I start the car. Next up is wiring the CEL to the OXS light
